Feeling the Post-Holiday Burn, Anyone?

I officially returned to my pre-holiday walking workout today and a few weeks of seasonal sloth have really caught up with me. I "felt the burn" a mere 20-minutes into my walk when normally I'm going great guns at nearly an hour in. I'm glad I walked back and forth in front of my house instead of my usual route. I suspect I might have had to call for a ride back home had I gone far.

I let the unexpected wintry weather in my area keep me from my regular walks and now I'm paying the price. (Sore much?)

Funny how it only takes a few days for your body to get out of the exercise habit and months to really get into it. I had pulled out my dusty exercise video collection over the holiday season with the full intention of putting it back into rotation. The collection sits archived in its plastic case on my bedroom floor, untouched.

But, tomorrow is another day and I'm ready to start working hard again. Good thing I checked out this great article from exercise Guide Paige. These tips will get you back on track quicker than you can say, "Who still actually has Richard Simmons VHS tapes?". (Answer? Moi.)
